E-Mersiv Books: War of the Worlds

The goal was to create a stylized soundscape that was suggestive of the action and imagery presented in the story. Sometimes that translated into an ambient layering of sounds and music to provide a general mood or sense of environment, while other times more direct foreground effects were used to lend impact to a specific dramatic event as it occurred in the story. To accomplish this we utilized the FMOD engine to drive the dynamic, story-based audio events and create an evolving soundscape that follows the path of the reader.
